If aliens arrived tomorrow, what’s the first thing you’d ask them?
Do you guys remember my rant about the movie Disclosure Day?
I already told y’all I don’t believe in aliens, but for the sake of the argument, let’s say they are real. My question is: Why come back?
If all these leaked stories about alien torture—sorry, experiments—are real, then why would they keep coming back here? What could possibly be so important about a planet where the citizens are so gung-ho about killing each other and starting massive wars?
This is a planet where land and resources can mean more than human life on a grand scale. We’ve got people fighting over borders, money, power, religion, politics, and resources like there isn’t an entire universe out there.
Honestly, I wouldn’t even respect aliens if they were real and they kept coming back here.
Unless Earth is basically their ghetto vacation spot.
Because let’s be real: Earth ain’t great!
And I don’t believe that just because aliens were revealed to be real, suddenly everything would change. Why would it? Why would a war that’s already happening suddenly stop because somebody pointed to the sky and said, “Yep, aliens are real”?
People would still be people.
I also don’t believe this whole idea that aliens are going to show up and somehow become the saviors of the human race. Why would they? What makes us think they’re looking at humanity and thinking, “These are the ones we need to save”?
If anything, they might be looking down at us thinking, “Yeah… we’re just gonna let them figure that one out themselves.”
