Have you ever had one of those days where your blog post just… disappears into the ether?
Same.
I love WordPress. I really do. It’s an amazing platform—flexible, robust, and mostly user-friendly. But lately, I’ve been wondering if my WordPress dashboard is gaslighting me. Because I swear I scheduled a post for April. I hit “Publish.” I hit “Schedule.” I refreshed. I even checked the calendar. Everything seemed fine.
I walked away with the confidence of someone who had done their digital duty.
But that post?
It never showed up.
Where did it go?
I double-checked. Then triple-checked. Eventually I gave up, only to circle back today, weeks later, and try to post it again.
This time, I clicked “Publish” like six times (I wish I were exaggerating).
Still? Nothing.
Oh, and the menu?
Don’t even get me started on the menu. Half the time it doesn’t update. I’ll add a new page, save the changes, preview it, and boom—ghost town.
It’s like the menu is personally offended by my content and refuses to acknowledge it exists.
Is it just me?
At this point, I’m convinced the problem is me.
So here’s my official acknowledgment, in full Taylor Swift fashion:
🧍♀️ “It’s me. Hi. I’m the problem, it’s me.” 🎶
I don’t know if it’s user error, a glitch in the Matrix, or some WordPress scheduling black hole that swallows posts whole.
Maybe I clicked the wrong button.
Maybe I didn’t wait long enough.
Maybe the Publish gods require a sacrifice of cookies and strong Wi-Fi. Who knows?
If this blog doesn’t show up either…
Well, I tried.
And if you’ve ever had a blog post vanish, a scheduled entry miss its cue, or a site menu act like it’s on a coffee break—just know: You’re not alone.
Or maybe we are.
But we’re alone together, and that counts for something… right?
Thanks for reading. Here’s hoping this one actually posts. 🙃
Exciting update as of 1:40! The missing post has finally made its grand entrance! 🎉 Could this be the moment when the menu starts to cooperate too? Stay tuned for more thrilling updates!
