WINTER BUCKET LIST

For day six of Blogmas, I put together a winter bucket list. I hope I actually get to do all (or most) of the things on the list.

Bake and decorate sugar cookies.

Baking Christmas cookies is one of my favorite things to do. My favorite sugar cookie recipe is from allrecipes.com.

Drive around to look at Christmas lights.

I love looking at everyone’s Christmas lights. I can’t wait until I own my own home. I totally want to be one of those people who goes crazy with outside decorations. I want to be the mom from How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Kiss under mistletoe.

I know it’s cliche, but somehow I’ve lived 23 years and never done this! This year is the year. And I’ll take any excuse to kiss my boo.

Watch the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade.

I have been trying to go to this particular parade for two years now, and it seems like I’ll never be able to go. Last year, I had to work, and this year it’s canceled due to the pandemic.

If you’re in southern California, I would definitely recommend going to a boat parade; they are beautiful. The Huntington Harbour Boat Parade is still happening.

Make homemade hot chocolate.

Does anyone have a good hot cocoa recipe?

I’ve always been a primary swiss chocolate powder type of girl. Until I learned Coffee Bean sold their red velvet hot cocoa powder. The Coffee Bean by my house closed forever, but I managed to get a container before it was gone.

Make Christmas ornaments or decorations.

The first item on this bucket list I can actually cross off. Yet, I plan on making a few more decorations.

I’m not 100% on what type of crafts I want to make. Still, I know that I definitely want to make a homemade decoration every year. We can just have this collection of homemade ornaments.

Christmas movie marathon.

My dream is I just stay in pajamas all day, drink hot chocolate, be under a warm blanket, watching all of my favorite holiday movies.

Pay it forward with three random acts of kindness.

This year has been so terrible, and yet I’ve been fortunate. I want everyone to end 2020 with a little bit of hope and happiness that I can create.

Wear Christmas Pajamas

Another silly cliche thing I know. If I can buy Christmas pajamas and convince my family – at least my boyfriend- to wear them, all matching, I will be happy.

Make a Christmas playlist.

I know most places start playing Christmas music on Halloween, but I can’t listen to Christmas music until December. And even then, I only really begin to listen to it on the 14th. I’ll most likely share my playlist in a blog.
