What’s a personal mantra or philosophy you live by?
“Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be worth documenting.”
I think about this a lot when I write here.
Because, honestly, my life is rarely perfect. Most of the time, I’m just trying to get through it. Some days I feel like I have everything figured out, and other days I’m barely keeping my head above water. But somewhere between the good days and the really difficult ones, I started realizing that maybe those moments are exactly what are worth documenting.
That’s really what keeps SomePunyBunny alive.
I write because sometimes I need somewhere to put all the things I can’t quite say out loud. Writing has always been a way for me to vent, to untangle whatever is happening in my head, and to make sense of feelings that otherwise just sit there and take up space.
But I also write because maybe someone else is reading this and thinking, me too.
Maybe you’ve felt the same loneliness. Maybe you’ve questioned yourself, felt behind in life, struggled with something you thought everyone else seemed to handle effortlessly, or simply had one of those days where getting through it felt like an accomplishment.
If anything I write makes someone feel a little less alone, then it’s worth putting it out there.
That’s especially important to me because when I started this blog, I was so lonely.
I didn’t start it because I had some perfectly curated life to document. I started writing because I needed somewhere to be honest. Somewhere I could exist exactly as I was, without pretending that everything was okay.
And maybe that’s still what this blog is.
A little collection of imperfect days. Messy thoughts. Tiny victories. Bad days. Good days. Things I’m learning. Things I’m still trying to figure out.
Just life, as it happens.
Because life doesn’t have to be perfect to be worth documenting.
And if sharing mine helps even one person feel like they’re not the only one trying to get through theirs, then I’ll keep writing.
