Hey friends! Guess what? It’s that time again for another birthday post, and I couldn’t be more excited! I have some fun news to share!
You all know how much I love my nieces, right? Well, we always let the kiddos pick their party themes! It’s a great way to get them involved and excited for their big day—no stress, just about having fun!
This year, our little Eryn is turning 2! Last year, we had this cute idea where we’d gather a bunch of adorable stuffed animals, each representing a different theme for her first birthday. The plan was to lay them out and let her choose, keeping the theme a surprise! But, of course, she fell head over heels for dogs before we could make it happen. So we thought we’d try that idea again this year, thinking we were ready—but boy, did we get a delightful surprise!
Now, all I hear her saying is “Elmo” and “dance,” which means she’s got a mission! She’s specifically asking for “The Propeller Song” by The Wiggles—the version from Sesame Street, of course! And don’t even get me started on “round,” which translates to “Wheels on the Bus,” but ONLY the Miss Rachel version! It’s quite the adventure, and I can’t help but feel a little guilty since I kinda introduced her to this joyful chaos. But yes, it’s Elmo for this year’s theme—much to my delight (and slight dismay)! That means Elmo cupcakes are back on the menu! I talked about my Elmo cupcakes last time, but I’m determined to make them even better this year!
So here we are, just a few months away from her big day—she’s a summer baby! We’re getting super organized for her second birthday bash! With her special celebration right after the 4th of July, we’re making sure everyone can join in on the fun. If we want to splash around in the pool this year, we’ve got to move quickly! We definitely learned the hard way about booking jumpers and pools too late. Seriously, these places think two months’ notice is cutting it close! They fill up faster than you can imagine, and the prices can skyrocket if you wait too long. We’ve also seen how rentals for jumpers went during COVID and even after —everybody seemed to be snagging them for weeks to keep the kids entertained. I totally get it; it’s cheaper than a trip to Disney! But hey, we want to make sure everyone gets a chance to enjoy it! We’re ahead of the game this time, and I am beyond excited to celebrate!
