What are your favorite sports to watch and play?

Baseball has always been my favorite sport, and I believe its uniqueness sets it apart from other sports. Unlike football or boxing, baseball has evolved over the years, and its history is not integral to its appeal. Comparing legends from the past to current greats is a popular pastime for fans, but the sport is so different that it’s impossible to compare players from various eras.

Accomplishments like winning the World Series, Pennant, Cy Young, or MVP mean more in baseball than they do in other sports. The only exception is the Super Bowl, which has an aura that is hard to match. Listening to baseball on the radio can be just as thrilling as watching it on TV, and sometimes, it’s even better, especially if the play-by-play announcer is excellent.

What made baseball my favorite sport was going to the games. Unlike other sports, umpires don’t blow whistles, and players chat with each other on the field, creating a friendly atmosphere. The sound of a long ball leaving the park can bring immense joy to the crowd, and celebratory music blasts at full volume. The vendors around the stadium yelling “CHURROS!”, “ICE-COLD LEMONADE!” and “Ice cream!” create a uniquely wholesome atmosphere. Bleacher tickets are also affordable, and attending games is a great way to have fun and enjoy the sport.
