Tattoos, Teen Drama, and Hector’s TV Initiation

I’m at a study session and, as you can tell, I’m doing so much studying. Since this is my fourth post of the night… I’m not. But you know me—I love a good reference whenever I’m posting.

My September posts usually lean Hogwarts-themed. Last year, I think I used the one from Heathers: The Musical—“September 1st.” But this year, I thought… why not Pretty Little Liars?

I’m doing a rewatch, and Hector was doing the whole “I’m not watching” thing. We got to the episode where Toby has his tattoo, 901 Free at Last, and Hector asked if that was a Bible verse… and I’m like, no. But here’s why Pretty Little Liars fits this year: the day Alison died (or… well, I think it was the day she went missing?) was supposedly September 1st, which the Liars thought was proof that Toby was the killer. I might be wrong. I honestly don’t fully remember. I watching this in middle and high school when it was coming out.

Hector’s never seen Pretty Little Liars, and he’s never seen Riverdale. That means he hasn’t experienced the triumphs and defeats, the epic highs and lows of high school football. Truly a tragedy we’re about to fix.

Also, my favorite part of getting Hector to watch shows I love is sending him heartbreaking edits on TikTok afterwards. He just finished Fleabag, and I swear, the reactions are priceless.
