Falling into fall

Hey everyone! It’s that time again—another September Sips & Sprouts post! 🌱☕️

I’m jumping right into today’s prompts: With some time between us, what was something that stood out in August for you? And what do you hope the start of fall will bring? Since I missed a few days, I thought I’d tackle both!

August was definitely a whirlwind! There was car drama, Hector’s health and job ups and downs, TikTok shenanigans, pickle martini wrestling matches, and let’s not forget my attempts at 5K training that didn’t quite pan out. It felt like everything was a little off-kilter! But looking back, what really hit home for me was how even amid the chaos, I can still be truly myself. It’s a reminder that I can stumble and fall (both literally and metaphorically) but still keep moving forward. That kind of quiet resilience is what I’m taking with me.

Now September is supposed to be my month to get organized and prepare for our small Halloween wedding! 🎃 What started as a fun party idea has started to feel a bit overwhelming. This month is all about balance for me—tackling my to-do list without losing my mind, focusing on what I love about wedding prep, and embracing the idea that things don’t have to be perfect. I’m excited for fall to offer me a chance to reset, organize, and find the joy in the craziness—because celebrating should be fun, not stressful!

Of course, September isn’t going exactly as planned. I thought my Switch just had a little charging issue, but it turns out it has a much bigger problem. The repair cost is about what I pay for rent, and honestly, at that point, I’d rather just get a new one! Sometimes even small things like a broken Switch can feel like life is throwing more than I can handle. Classic September, right? Full of surprises and a lesson in rolling with the punches!

Here’s to a messy, imperfect September and to finding magic in the little moments along the way! ✨
