I wanted to share a little bit about my journey with social media. While I love connecting online, I wouldn’t say I’m the most tech-savvy person out there! It is so funny when people ask me for help with posting, but I’m just as lost. I’m an elder Gen Z, and I often feel like a total boomer navigating the wild world of social media! It’s a wild ride, and I’m here for it!
The platforms I’m most comfortable with are TikTok (hopefully, we get to keep it) and Instagram, but I recently started a Facebook page. I’m still figuring things out over there! I also have a kind of new Tumblr blog—I’ve had it for six years—but I’ve never posted anything myself, but I reposted something once. Honestly, I just don’t post on it cuz my original account from 2012, when I was in high school, got banned. I was writing fanfics and shit posting.
Honestly, I feel like that’s why I don’t post as often. I loved saying my absolute truth without worrying about how people would react. Now, that’s all I care about, but I’m hoping to change that.
