Happy Easter 2024

Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope you had an amazing Easter weekend (or just an awesome weekend in general)! Easter is such a special time for me, a beautiful reminder of faith and renewal. Even though I had to work this year, I still had a blast. I got together with some friends on Saturday for a potluck; let me tell you, it was incredible! We whipped up some delicious French toast, put together a mouthwatering charcuterie board, savored some flavorful jambalaya, and enjoyed various cocktails and mocktails. To top it off, we had a movie night and watched “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.” It was a fun and meaningful time, mainly because we were able to be together even tho we all have different perspectives on spirituality. Some of my friends have religious trauma, so we opted for a more lighthearted movie instead of a religious movie like The Passion of the Christ. I respect their choices, and I’m just grateful for our wonderful time together.

This is the first time in a long while that I haven’t felt stressed during a holiday. I got all the kids an Easter basket done way ahead of time. The only thing I ordered on Amazon that didn’t make it on time will be a surprise random gift for the kiddo later, but that’s okay. Hector was shocked at how prepared I was this holiday and said, “If you do this for our nieces and nephew, how are you going to be when you’re a mom?” I replied, “So much worse.” Have you ever seen those Easter bunny footprints that people make with flour? It’s just like the Santa prints people do at Christmas, and I’ve decided I want to be that mom! This Easter was extra special because it was my niece’s very first Easter. I can’t believe she’s already nine months old; it feels like she was just born. I even splurged on getting her first pictures taken with the Easter bunny. It was such a precious moment!

  1. I can’t believe we’re already celebrating Easter; it feels like Christmas was just yesterday, haha. This year is going by so quickly. Thanks for sharing this, Eryn! I hope you have a wonderful Easter
